Requirements and guidelines for service providers who are participating in Webflow's Template Services program.

Intro

Webflow is excited to welcome you to our Template Services Beta as a Service Provider! In this document, you’ll find:

Template services overview

What are Template Services?

Webflow Template Services is a new service for customers who want to purchase a template and hire a professional to help customize it. Customers will generally have low budgets (~$300 – $2,000 USD) and will typically be looking for help with simple changes such as adjusting styling, adding content, etc.

How will I receive leads?

We will onboard you to Webflow's Calendly system (you will not have to pay any Calendly subscription), and customers will be able to schedule calls with you via the Calendly booking page.

Note that customers do not pick a specific provider; rather, they choose the time slot for their call, and we use a "round robin" booking system to match them automatically with a provider who is available at that time. The round-robin system also attempts to distribute leads evenly across providers.

You will be able to control your availability, so customers can only book times that work for you. You can also fully pause your availability at any time. Instructions for managing your availability will be included in your onboarding instructions.

What can I expect from my leads?

When booking their call, customers will provide information about their goals for the project, their budget, and the template they want to start with (if they have chosen one already).

After they schedule an event, you will see a new event appear on your calendar titled "Webflow Template Services Intro Call." You will also receive the client's contact information and their project details that they submitted in the form.

Though everyone is different, many leads from Webflow Template Services will be:

1. Building a site for their small business
2. Leaders or owners of their businesses
3. Budget conscious
4. Limited in their ability to build with Webflow

Service provider requirements

In order to participate in the Webflow Template Services program, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Language: Service providers must be able to host service calls in English.
  • Payments: Service providers must manage their own payment collection with leads. Webflow will not manage payments between you and the customer.
  • Calendly: Service providers must join Webflow’s Calendly system. Instructions will be sent upon your certification of these requirements. This requires that you manage a calendar using any of Google, iCal, Outlook or Office 365.
  • Video calls: Service providers must use either Zoom or Google Meet to host video calls with clients. You must attend these calls with your video turned on.
  • Attendance: Service providers must attend all customer set appointments except in cases of emergency. Repeated failure to attend scheduled meetings can result in removal from the program. See "No-shows by service providers" section below.
  • Post-call survey: Service providers must submit the post-call survey after each call. This survey will be sent via email, and is essential for Webflow to record the outcome of your intro calls.

Guidelines for your intro call

Cancellations and no-shows by leads

Though leads will be sent reminders before their intro call, some will inevitably cancel or no-show.

  • When leads cancel an intro call they will be sent an option to reschedule. No action is required on your part.
  • When leads no-show an intro call, no action will be taken by Webflow. You are welcome to reach out to them with your own scheduling information if you would like to. We still ask that you fill out our post-call survey and indicate a no-show.

Helping leads choose the right template

While most leads will have a template in mind going into the call, not everyone will have chosen one. If this is the case, we ask that you help them choose a template that will fit their needs. You are welcome to recommend your own templates (if you have published any) as long as they are a strong fit for the lead’s project.

Pricing your services

The price you charge for each project is up to you. However, we do recommend that you aim to keep the cost of your services below $2000 for basic sites without extended functionality.

Many leads in this program will have small budgets, and in these cases you may need to limit the scope of your services in a way that will allow you to meet their budget needs.

What to do when you can't come to an agreement

We understand that some leads will not have the budget to fund the scope of the project they want you to build. In cases where you cannot come to an agreement with a lead, we ask that you point them toward Webflow Expert matchmaking, where they can input their budget constraints and project details before being matched with an expert.

Program terms and policies

No-shows by service providers

To ensure a positive experience for customers in the Template Services program, it is crucial that service providers reliably attend the calls that customers have booked.

If you're no longer able to attend a call at the scheduled time, we ask that you reach out to the lead via email and request that they reschedule the call through the link in the Calendly confirmation email. Asking a client to reschedule a call is not considered a no-show. A no-show is only recorded if a call takes place and you fail to attend.

Multiple no-shows by a service provider can impact your participation in the program:

  • After two no-shows: Service providers will receive a warning
  • After three no-shows: Service providers’ availability will be paused for 30 days
  • After further no-shows: Additional no-shows after the 30-day pause may result in full removal from the program. Removal is at the discretion of the Webflow team.

Please note that if you are removed from the program due to violations of our no-show policy, you may apply to be reinstated to the program after 6 months. However, re-acceptance into the program is not guaranteed.

Removal from the program

Please note that, in addition to the terms described in the "No-shows by service providers" section of these guidelines, Webflow also reserves the right to remove service providers from the Template Services program for any behavior which has a significant negative effect on the program or the client experience.
