Blog entries are held in Webflow CMS collection. Adding an entry means filling in fields rather than rebuilding a page, and it appears in the relevant listings automatically. For a site that gets updated regularly, this is the part that decides whether it stays current.
The sections come organised rather than as an empty shell, so you are renaming and rewriting rather than building an information architecture from nothing. If your product needs fewer, delete the ones you do not use.
It is a documentation site. It does not run a ticketing system, live chat, a community forum, or versioned docs that switch between releases. It has no search index of its own beyond what you connect. Teams that need versioning or in-app help usually pair a docs site with a dedicated platform, and this is the public face of it.
Sections are Webflow folders holding static pages, so you rename and rewrite rather than configure a system. Anyone comfortable editing text in the Designer can maintain it.

Is there a CMS?
No. The documentation pages are static, organised into folders. That keeps the structure explicit and predictable, but it does mean adding an article is adding a page rather than a database entry.
Can I use fewer than twelve sections?
Yes. Delete the folders you do not need. The navigation is built to be trimmed.
Does it include search?
Webflow site search can be enabled, and many teams connect a dedicated docs search instead. Neither is pre-wired here.
Can it handle versioned documentation?
Not natively. If you need docs that switch between product versions, a purpose-built docs platform will serve you better.
Do I need to code?
No, though a docs site is text-heavy by nature and you will spend most of your time writing rather than designing.

Use the Preview in Designer option to make any edits to the template pages and preview how the layout would fit your content. Changes in preview mode won't be saved.
It isn't possible to apply a template to an already existing project. Instead, you'll need to create a new project based on the Template.
With a Core plan (or higher), you can export sites you build in Webflow, including templates, to host them anywhere you'd like.

CMS templates are designed to use the power of the Webflow CMS. It is possible to downgrade to a Basic Site Plan as long as all CMS content is deleted from the project.
Use the View Connections tool to understand where the CMS content is on the site and delete any dynamic listings and CMS content. We also recommend you to check Components and the Collection page Templates.
Ecommerce templates are designed to use the power of Webflow Ecommerce. It is not possible to remove Ecommerce from a template, however, deleting all Ecommerce Products and Categories from the project, will allow to select a lower Site Plan.
Membership templates are designed to use the power of Webflow Membership. It is not possible to remove Memberships from a template.
