Diary Dark TNC is the dark counterpart to Diary TNC: a personal blog with six home page layouts and CMS collections for posts, categories and tags, designed around a dark palette rather than recoloured into one.

Diary Dark TNC is a personal blog built for a dark palette, with six complete home page layouts and an archive structured around posts, categories and tags.

It suits bloggers and writers whose subject or photography reads better on a dark background, including film, gaming, photography and night-themed writing.

What the CMS gives you

Blog, blog category and blog tag entries are held in Webflow CMS collections. Adding an entry means filling in fields rather than rebuilding a page, and it appears in the relevant listings automatically. For a site that gets updated regularly, this is the part that decides whether it stays current.

Dark by design rather than inverted

The contrast and spacing are built for a dark palette. Recolouring a light template usually produces something that looks dark rather than something designed to be.

Tags as well as categories

Three collections: posts, categories and tags. Categories carry the sections, tags carry the cross-cutting subjects, which a blog covering several topics needs.

What this template does not do

It publishes writing. There is no store, no membership or paid subscription, and no built-in comments. The newsletter sign-up hands off to an email platform. If you want a light palette, Diary TNC is the same build in a light treatment.

Who it is for

  • Bloggers whose subject suits a dark presentation
  • Photography and film writing where images carry the page
  • Writers who want tags as well as categories

Customising it

Posts, categories and tags are CMS entries. Six home layouts ship complete, so choosing one means deleting the others.

If you would rather not do it yourself, our team can customise this template for you, from colour and content changes through to new pages and custom functionality. Request a Webflow template customization quote, or read more about our Webflow customization service.

Is there a comment system?

Not built in. Connect a third-party service.

Can I monetise posts?

Not in this build. Paid content needs a membership service.
