BookAuthor TNC is an author website template for an author, writer, and publisher, featuring a books collection, an author events calendar for readings and signings, reader testimonials, and an author newsletter sign-up. CMS collections cover books, author events, and blog posts, giving an author or publisher a professional website structure for promoting books, connecting with readers, and showcasing published work.

An author site sells the author as much as the book. BookAuthor TNC is an author website template that gives both room: an author books collection with a page per title, and an author events collection for readings, signings, and festival appearances. It gives an author, writer, or publisher space to build an author brand, promote books, and connect with readers.

It suits a novelist, non-fiction author, independent author, or writer building a readership between releases, as well as a publisher promoting an author and published book beyond launch.

What the CMS gives you

Blog category, blog, book and event entries are held in Webflow CMS collections. Adding an entry means filling in fields rather than rebuilding a page, and it appears in the relevant listings automatically. For a site that gets updated regularly, this is the part that decides whether it stays current.

Events are a CMS collection, not a static list

Readings, signings and festival dates change constantly. Holding them as entries means an author or publicist can add a date without touching the design, and past events fall away on their own.

Books have their own pages

Each title gets a page rather than a card in a grid, which is where the sample chapter, the reviews and the buy links belong.

A newsletter sign-up carried across the site

For authors the mailing list is the asset between books, and the sign-up is present throughout rather than sitting on one page.

What this template does not do

It presents the author and the work. It does not sell books directly, since there is no checkout, so buy buttons point at your retailer or publisher. It does not manage a mailing list, which needs an email platform connected to the form, and it does not handle ticketing for paid events.

Who it is for

  • Novelists and non-fiction authors with more than one book or title to promote
  • An author and writer appearing at readings, signings, and festivals
  • An author building a mailing list and stronger author presence between releases
  • Independent author promoting books while developing their author brand
  • An author working with a publisher to promote published titles and events
  • Publishers showcasing an author, books, and upcoming author events
  • Authors and publishers looking for a professional website to connect books with readers

Customising it

Books, events, blog posts and blog categories are CMS entries. A publicist can add a tour date or a new title through the Editor without design access.

If you would rather not do it yourself, our team can customise this template for you, from colour and content changes through to new pages and custom functionality. Request a Webflow template customization quote, or read more about our Webflow customization service.
